Visit the Computer Lab on the top floor to use desktop and laptop computers, a scanner, photocopier, and digital enlarger.
COMPUTERS
Each computer offers internet access, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, plus Adobe Acrobat software. Select computers also have Adobe Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements for photo and video editing. Printing is available from each computer. Charges are $0.25 per page for B&W; $0.50 per page for color.
Laptops are available for borrowing while on the library grounds. You can reserve a meeting room and take a laptop in for privacy, or bring it out to the terrace on a nice day.
IPads are also available for borrowing while on the library grounds. You can borrow iPads from the Reference Desk or Computer Lab.
SCANNER
Thanks to the Friends of the Blackstone Library, you can scan pages and photos for free, and save them to a thumb drive or share by email.
ENLARGER
Reading something that is too small to see? You can use the Optelec digital text enlarger, a gift from James Vlock.
Wi-Fi
There is Wi-Fi available throughout the building. Simply connect to the “Blackstone Library Wi-Fi” network, no password needed. We also boost connectivity to the parking lot, should you need access outside or after hours. This is an unsecured network; please use at your own risk.
