If you are in grades 7-12 and have an interest in the library or need to complete a certain number of service hours for school, then Blackstone Library may be right for you! Volunteering at the library includes shelving materials, helping keep the play room organized, and preparing for programs. We hold quarterly volunteer trainings, which are listed on our events calendar at events.blackstonelibrary.org. Please email Emily (teens@blackstonelibrary.org) if you have any questions about volunteering.
Are you a high school student? Blackstone’s Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is a club for high school students, where members work with the Teen Librarian to select new books, plan programs, play-test games & make the library a more awesome place. Join today to earn community service hours. And did we mention there’s free snacks? The club meets the third Thursday of the month from 3:30-4:30 pm. Email Emily (teens@blackstonelibrary.org) for more information.
Are you a middle school student? Our Junior Teen Advisory Group (JTAG) is a club exclusively for middle school students, where members work with Emily on crafts, special projects, and other activities that help the library. The club meets the second Wednesday of the month from 4:00-5:00 pm. Email Emily (teens@blackstonelibrary.org) for more information.
