For this season’s artist gallery, the CT State Organization of Delta Kappa Gamma Int’l has curated an exhibit.
March and April 2025
Opening Reception Sunday, March 9, 2 – 3 p.m.
About the Exhibit:
The artwork our organization, CT State Organization of Delta Kappa Gamma Int’l, is displaying was created by Connecticut schoolchildren ages 11-16 expressing “What Does Peace Look Like to You?” It was inspired by the CITYarts Pieces for Peace project of New York City.
The project was the undertaking of one of our state committees, Curriculum of Hope for a Peaceful World. Its mission is to promote peace education, protection of the environment, foster human rights, and celebrate diversity. In the spring of 2017 the COH sponsored a CITYarts Pieces for Peace traveling exhibition of student art work from many countries. It met with such success that they created the CT Pieces for Peace Traveling Exhibition, inspired by the CITYarts Pieces for Peace project of New York City. It is the hope that others (students, teachers, parents) will be inspired to create their own expressions of peace.
Artworks are not for sale.
