Interlibrary Loans

Interlibrary loan service is offered to Branford residents with current library cards in good standing, with no lost or billed items. Non-residents should request interlibrary loan items from their hometown library. You may request up to 6 interlibrary loans per month which includes books, CDs, DVDs or journal articles. We are not able to request brand-new items or computer media (such as the Rosetta Stone language learning program) through interlibrary loan.

The State Catalog is now available for searching at https://finditct.org. Records from 150 libraries are included, with more to be added.

If you are a Branford resident and you would like to request a book from another library, please search the LION Catalog first. If you cannot locate the item, search the State Catalog and email the Blackstone Library to request the item or call the Reference staff at 203-488-1441, ext. 318. Include the title, author, your name and library barcode.

You will be notified by telephone or email when the material arrives. Items are held at the ground floor checkout desk.
