2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Peter Biedermann is a solo fingerstyle instrumental guitarist based in Green Valley, AZ that has been performing since the mid 70’s and will once again play in the James Blackstone Memorial Library. While the music doesn’t settle in to any genre per se, it is a hybrid, contemporary style that melds elements of European and American folk with blues and jazz shadings; underpinned by ambient electronics and looping.
This performance will feature new pieces as well as material from his latest live recording ‘Say What?‘ on a variety of guitars in unique tunings. The concert program encourages questions from the audience and will include some of the history and evolution of steel string guitar playing. Fans of fellow guitarists Alex de Grassi, John Martyn, Pierre Bensusan, Bert Jansch and John Renbourn will enjoy this music.
You can learn more about Peter Biederman at www.biedermannmusic.com. CD’s will be for sale after the concert.
