Teen Volunteer Opportunities

Interested in Volunteering at the Library?

If you are in grades 7-12 and have an interest in the library or need to complete a certain number of service hours for school, then Blackstone Library may be just right for you! Volunteering at the library might include shelving materials, helping keep the play room organized, and preparing for programs.

If you are interested in volunteering this summer, please plan to join us for a volunteer orientation on June 26 from 3:30-4:30pm to get started. Registration is required. Please email Emily (teens@blackstonelibrary.org) if you have any questions about volunteering.

Need community service hours for school? Want to donate your time to a worthy cause? Like free food?

Are you a high school student? Blackstone’s TAG (Teen Advisory Group) is a club for high school students, where members work with the Teen Librarian to select new books, plan programs, play-test games & make the library a more awesome place. Join today to earn community service hours. And did we mention there’s free snacks? The club meets the third Thursday of the month from 3:30-4:30 pm. Email Emily (teens@blackstonelibrary.org) for more information.

Are you a middle school student? Our Junior Tween Advisory Council (JTAC) is a  club exclusively for middle school students, where members work with Emily on crafts, special projects, and other activities that help the library. The club meets the second Wednesday of the month from 4:00-5:00 pm. Email Emily (teens@blackstonelibrary.org) for more information.
